What is the Youth Forum?
The Youth Forum exists to strengthen community bonds, with a deep focus on reconnecting with and honouring the elders who have shaped the foundation of the Mandhata Association. Their wisdom, guidance, and dedication are not only valued—they are essential to our identity.
At our core, we strive to bridge generations. We aim to ensure our elders remain engaged and respected while also empowering younger members to contribute, lead, and grow within the community. The values and vision of those who came before us fuel everything we do today.
Our team is made up of passionate, driven individuals—each bringing unique talents and experiences to the table. We work collaboratively to organise events and initiatives that cater to the diverse needs of our community, from sports tournaments and career workshops to cultural and religious gatherings.
Despite our different backgrounds, we share one goal: to promote unity, inclusivity, and growth. We believe that by celebrating our heritage and shared values, we can build a stronger, more connected future for all members of the Mandhata Association.
Why We Need Your Support
A community initiative can only succeed with the support of the community it serves.
We’ve been told, “Now you understand how tough it is to be a leader.” But for many of us, this work feels natural—not because it’s easy, but because we have an exceptional team. We’re volunteers, but we don’t use that as an excuse. We strive to be organised, communicative, and responsive. And we’re always open to feedback—because that’s how we grow.
Like everyone else, we juggle families, work, and personal commitments. That’s why we’re transparent about our time and capacity. But what makes our team work is our adaptability and collective spirit. If someone is unavailable, others step in. That’s teamwork—and that’s what we ask of our wider community too.
Our impact relies heavily on the collaboration of local committees and towns. While some have shown real, ongoing support, others have been silent. We’re proactive with communication—sharing event details early and widely—but we need your help to ensure this information reaches your communities.
Support isn’t just words—it’s action. And action looks like this:
-
Sharing our event and initiative details within your networks
-
Promoting our efforts as if they were your own
-
Welcoming us to your AGMs and community events
-
Responding to our requests for input or participation
If you’re part of a town committee or community group, ask yourself: are we doing enough to uplift the Youth Forum—and, by extension, our own community?
Why Your Support Matters
Your involvement makes all the difference. Here’s how:
-
Greater Reach: Your support helps us engage more people and deliver events that truly make a difference.
-
Stronger Recognition: When local communities stand behind our work, it reinforces the value of what we do and inspires others to join in.
-
Shared Resources: Collaborating with local groups opens doors to venues, tools, and networks that amplify our impact.
-
True Representation: Active participation from all towns ensures that our initiatives reflect the full diversity of the Mandhata community.
-
Long-Term Sustainability: Consistent, grassroots support is what keeps the Youth Forum alive and thriving.
Let’s Move Forward—Together
We don’t claim to have all the answers. But we are committed, transparent, and open to collaboration. The Youth Forum is here because of our community—and with your support, we’ll continue building a legacy that honours our past and looks boldly to the future.
Together, we are stronger.
