About Us
Shree Mandhata Samaj UK (AMSUK) is the national umbrella organisation representing the vibrant Koli Patel community originally from Navsari District, Gujarat, India. Our journey began in the mid-20th century with migration to East Africa and later to the UK in the 1960s and 70s. Local Mandhata Samaj/Mandals were formed across UK towns, leading to the creation of AMSUK in 1972 to unify and represent them nationally.
Officially registered as a charity in 1996, AMSUK now supports around 7,000 families and 30,000 individuals in the UK, making us one of the largest British Indian communities. We remain deeply rooted in our Hindu faith and cultural heritage, while embracing future generations.
Our vision is to build a proud, respected, and united Mandhata Samaj. Through national events, social connections, and shared values, AMSUK continues to strengthen ties across the UK and with our global diaspora.
