AMSUK Sports & Community Festival 2024: A Day of Sports, Community, and Fun
On the 10th of August 2024, the Association of Mandhata Samaj UK, through its Youth Forum, organized an exciting one-day Sports & Community Festival at the University of Wolverhampton Campus in Walsall. The event attracted around 200 participants from various towns across the UK, including Bolton, Coventry, Leicester, Loughborough, Walsall, Wembley, West Bromwich, Wolverhampton, and Preston.
The festival was packed with an array of sports activities, including netball, football, rounders, badminton, table tennis, carrom, and chess, ensuring a vibrant and competitive spirit throughout the day. Beyond sports, the event offered something for everyone with delicious mela-style food stalls serving snacks, tea, coffee, and soft drinks, along with fun activities designed especially for kids.
The day began with participant registration at 10 am, followed by the start of the sporting competitions. The atmosphere was electric, with over 200 spectators, both young and old, coming out to support their teams and enjoy a day of community togetherness. The event concluded at 5 pm with a grand trophy presentation ceremony, where Leicester secured 1st place, proudly taking home the winner’s trophy. 2nd was Wolverhampton and 3rd were West Bromwich.

It was a day of unity, sportsmanship, and shared joy, leaving everyone eagerly anticipating next year’s festival.
